Sean is married to Nuala, with whom he has a flaming row after he comes home from the pub one night with a couple good-looking women. Nuala goes off in the car, leaving Sean at home. When he wakes up the next morning, he finds himself covered in blood, but has no idea what has happened the night before. Even as a murder investigation is going on around him in the following days, Sean has no clear understanding of the events of that night and of who is dead.
